Steal it Up
So runners talk about that wall you hit and then once you fight through it you feel awesome and can keep going for miles. Yeah. I no longer consider myself a runner, but I def have hit that wall where homework is concerned. And that wall knocked me flat. So here we are, updating the blog!
This is a random compilation of pictures from kinda recent times...
Banana Pancakes made from scratch!! Laur is a goddess in the kitchen. :) Just had stir fry and movie night with her and her roomies. I always feel much more cultured after going over there. But then I go home and eat my lean cuisine and watch the Bachelor w/ Lyss and Bri and I'm back to American Bimbo. It's a process.
We had 'the pregame' at our place, (theme-less) and Chris + friends brought their own theme: flannel friday.
Vodka Red Bulls on Scott and Anita. 2/3 of my mom's siblings have now helped inebriate me. Sally- check. Scott- check. Sherry- You are up. :)

Tricia
Sooo I should be studying Real Estate Valuation right now since I have an exam in two hours. But I think I'm ready and I'm super pumped about these pics so I'm going to post instead. bahaha! Priorities!
Photog class went to the "Art Loft" which is an industrial-looking building filled with all sorts of cool rooms. I have very much realized I'm picky about how the shoot happens and where the model stands and in teh end, the only picture I like of the "actual" model which the whole class was taking pics of is:
and really, I think I like it because the model stops being the subject and it's more about the lighting. I'm quite rebellious. Tell me to take a pic of a girl, and I take a pic of the lights.
But afterwards, Tricia stuck around and we did some practice shots of each other. :) I'm sure I'm a horrendous model, but check out her skillz!!
I think it's the red chair against the white/ basically bare background (which I've never really had before). And obvi my model too. :)

Shuck 'Em Bucky!
In honor of the upcoming big game against Nebraska, I'll put up a few pics from the previous football games of the season. So far, I've been to every one! (And even have brought my camera to each one.. go me!)
For the first game there was a slip n' slide AND body paint. (Luckily we had the rationale to do painting after sliding..)

How great is this dog? English Bulldogs are now officially on my list of dogs to own.

50mm
I finally got the new lens! Verdict: It was a very good choice.
Taking a photog class and we did a walk-around-and-take-pictures today. Here are mah favs:
I asked this woman to let me take a picture of her!! That is stranger #2 that I have approached (and neither turned me down!!!) to ask if I could take their picture. It's very intimidating. The assignment due next week is to take 15 pictures on State St.. of people, so this was good practice.
Then I went home and the most miraculous thing happened... ALL the roommates were in ONE ROOM. Together! Talking! This happens maybe once a month? So I documented! I wish I would have stayed homogenous with the layout of the picture, either shooting landscape or portrait, but I still like the way it turned out. The personality is what I really enjoy.
Oh... and here's me with Lyss behind the lens.
