No Shorts Today? - Creepy Dude at Work

We made a beer pong table! Brianna and Lyss picked me up after work, and we were off to Menards! Best part was seeing Travis giving a tour to some students. He was walking next to Brianna's car and asked what we were up to. We (well... me) said "We're going to Menards." But that didn't seem like enough information, so I added, "We're making a beer pong table." We laughed and drove away, leaving a big group of smiling students and their parents.

Anywho... it's Tortoise and the Hare themed. Don't really know why. It's kind of random, but I think it turned out wonderfully. Obvi everyone will want to be on Hare's side. :) Well... I always will be. Can't stand that slow stuff. The only way is to go for the bounce. Two cups people! It's worth the risk.

I feel very at home on Doty, it's a nice feeling. And friends always increase the level of enjoyment. :)


Shazow! Drinking season is def upon us. We went to Tim's Fri and Jordan's on Sat. Plans for Chris' Thurs and we might be having a little shindig on Sat. Come check it out! Should be fun. ;)


So I finally got my room cleaned! I even vacuumed...

It's pretty boring right now. I gotsta work on that. Thinking about a collage of pics... but that's so daunting. Do I have a theme? Is it totally random? How do I pick what makes it? Should it be people and significant memories, or just cool photography? I really don't know. :( Hopefully I can find some kind of inspiration.

Friday we went shopping! Didn't buy much, but spent way too much time in the dressing rooms being lame.














When we were leaving, the wind was whipping and it was really weird weather. You could feel a storm brewing. We guessed a tornado, but were wrong. :) That's the rug we bought for downstairs!

Martin Strikes Again

So, I know it's not a good excuse, but the new house won't be having internet until Fri, so I hope you guys can hang with me til then. ;) Got a lotta updating to do, aye?

SO I used to kiddingly say aye, and I am now starting to seriously incorporate it into my lingo and it's NOT GOOD! Gotta work on that.

About a week ago we had a good time at Laur and Bridge's. Kind of a "Goodbye Double Deuce" party. Martin the bat crashed the party. This was the second time Martin came around, although I never saw him the first time. So, we were all in the living room when he started flying up and down the staircase, back and forth, which is in clear view of the living room. Steve jumped to action: he grabbed a tennis racket, ran into the entryway, and started swinging at Martin. Amazingly enough, he got him, and pinned him underneath the racket.

Steve and Alex managed to get Martin out of the house, but it is believed that he'll be back.


Speaking of creatures... while in Cambridge, crashing overnight with Susie, Dave, Nick and Chris, the boys found a snake.


Mom doesn't like snakes.




THEN, we moved in! 446 W. Doty here we come! Everyone got there at almost the same exact moment, but it ended up working out beautifully because that meant there were a ton of hands to help out with all the moving in. And there was a lot of stuff to move in.

So this is the before pic of my room. I'm working on getting an after... just have to put away all the clothing that hasn't quite made it to the dresser yet...

Another Set?

I have decided I'm going to be healthier! It started with a run yesterday, and let me just say this was a legit run. I HURT afterward, but it was a good hurt. A hurt I haven't had in a long time. And then today Laur and I ran to the capitol and back, which wasn't so bad. But when we got back we did stairs and calf raises and wall sits and... it was awful. Plus it was hot as heck, and our air conditioning in the apartment is broken. I'm sweating just sitting here. TMI?

Plus, I'm swearing off desserts. We'll see how that goes. Today I turned down a caramel macchiato AND a sprinkle donut! Impressed? You should be.

Of all the things that stick out to me this weekend, it's probably all the time I spent in the car. But I do like driving, thank goodness. Anywho, short recap:

Thursday: Hours spent writing my MHR final, class finally DONE!

Friday: Lollapalooza!

Saturday: Brewers Game

Sunday: Chips for a couple hours to prepare for moving next week

But, that means I spent 2 hours driving to Chicago, 2 driving back. 1 hour driving Milwaukee, 5 driving back to Chip. 4 Hours driving back to Madtown, making it a total of 14 hours in the car in 3 days.

Favorite part was def blasting "You" by Atmosphere and dancing/singing along w/ Bridge and Laur.
